- SPECIAL MEETING
The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting December 15, 2021 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road Poland, Ohio.
Mr. Ungaro opens the special meeting.
Mr. Greg Wilson led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mr. Scharville calls roll call. Mr. Ungaro, Mrs. Wollet and Mr. Kempers were present.
Mr. Scharville announces the reason for this meeting is to hire a new Chief of Police for the Township of Poland, the news media has been properly notified.
Mr. Ungaro motions to enter into agreement with Detective Greg Wilson as Poland Township Police Chief at the rate of $41.00/hr as well as other agreements outline in the contract starting 12/16/2021. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes - Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
Mr. Wilson was sworn in by Judge John Durkin.
Mrs. Wollet announces she is excited for Mr. Wilson for becoming the new Chief and congratulations.
Mr. Kempers gives thank to everyone who came out tonight to support our new chief and congratulations.
Mr. Ungaro gives appreciation to Mr. Wilson for all he has done in the past and looking forward to the years to come.
Mr. Wilson gives thanks to Judge Durkin, Trustees and Chief Goodin for all his years of mentorship.
Mr. Ungaro motions to adjourn the meeting at 5:43 p.m. Seconded by Mrs. Wollet. Voting yes - Ungaro, Wollet and Kempers. Motion carried.
