Poland Township Gas Aggregation Program Website

Poland Township officials are pleased to announce that they have established a 24-month fixed-rate of $3.73 per MCF for natural gas for program members. The new rate will run through the October 2026 billing cycle. Residents and small commercial customers can expect a letter from IGS Energy to arrive shortly after September 18th. The letter will explain the rate, terms and conditions of the offer. The natural gas program was approved by voters in November 2009 and is available for residents and small businesses in the Township.

Poland Townships Electric Aggregation Program will change beginning May 2025. The new aggregate is with Dynegy: the rate will be 8.69 cents/kWh and is valid until May 2026.

Poland Township Electric Aggregation Program is currently with Energy Harbor; the current rate is 4.92 cents per kWh and is valid until May 2025. Any resident may participate in the aggregation program by calling Energy Harbor at 1-866-636-3749, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Aqua Ohio, water quality and continuous service are our highest priorities.

Poland Township’s water is supplied by Aqua of Ohio. The cost is based on consumption, currently small user (2 people) pay approx. $23.91 per month, and larger user (4 people) pay approx. $45.64 per month. Any resident may contact Aqua Ohio (customer service) at 1-877-987-2782. Aqua of Ohio business is located at 6650 South Avenue, Boardman, Ohio, 44512.

3-11-2025 - Aqua has started its spring hydrant flushing program. This important distribution system maintenance activity ensures hydrants and valves are working properly and helps prevent sediment buildup in the water mains. No interruptions in water service will occur because of the flushing but customers may notice water in the street and a drop in water pressure or temporary water discoloration when crews are in their neighborhood. If possible, customers should refrain from doing laundry to avoid possible staining while the flushing is taking place near their home. If tap water is discolored, allow it to run until clear.  Running several cold-water faucets at the same time will help the water clear faster.

For daily posting of the streets where flushing will occur, visit: Aqua Ohio Service Disruption Event Viewer (https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/d169ba74df004c838e56baa19cedc974). Zoom in to your neighborhood. Areas shaded in blue and white stripes are where crews are flushing. Click on the shaded area for details.
