SEPTEMBER 16, 2021

                                                                                      SPECIAL MEETING

The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Poland Township Administration Building located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland Ohio.  The purpose of this meeting is to go into executive session to discuss personnel.  The news media had been properly notified.

Chairman Ungaro opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. and led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken and present were trustees: Ungaro, Kempers and Wollet.

Chairman Ungaro moved to go into executive session at 6:05 p.m. to discuss personnel.  Motion seconded by Trustee Wollet.  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, Kempers...Motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to go out of executive session and back into regular session at 7:10 p.m.  Motion seconded by Trustee Wollet.  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, Kempers…Motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to hire William Aaron as a full-time patrolman starting October 4, 2021 per union contract.  Motion seconded by Trustee Wollet.  Roll call vote:  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…Motion carried.

Chairman Ungaro moved to hire Diane Dailey as part-time police secretary, pending a background check at $15.00 per hour starting October 4, 2021.  Motion seconded by Trustee Wollet.  Roll call vote:  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…Motion carried.

With no other business to conduct:

Chairman Ungaro moved to adjourn at 7:20 p.m. seconded by Trustee Wollet.  Voting yes – Ungaro, Wollet, and Kempers…Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
