REGULAR MEETING
The Poland Township Board of Trustees held their regular meeting July 29th, 2016 at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio.
Eric leads in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Scharville calls roll call. Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet are present.
Ungaro motions to approve the minutes dated June 8th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve the minutes dated June 28th, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve the minutes dated July 8th, 2015. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to authorize payment for all outstanding checks for the township. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Paul Canter is present to give financial report for the first six months of 2016. Revenue - $1,388,699.86; Budgeted Revenue for the year - $3,069,644. Expenditures – $1.6 million; Budgeted Expenditures for the year - $3.9 million.
Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-12: Road Renewal Levy. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-13: to establish rates for Aqua Ohio. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve Resolution #16-14: Nuisance order for the following addresses:
6926 Poland Center Road
6337 Apache Lane
2085 Hubbard Road
Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve the advertising of the 2016 Road Paving starting August 1st, 2016. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve the application for the 2017 District 6 Grant through Eastgate. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
Ungaro motions to approve payment to the architect for the Poland Township Government Center’s roof, not to exceed 6%. Seconded by Lidle. Voting yes – Ungaro, Lidle, and Wollet.
North Lima Road will be closed between Spitler Road & Western Reserve Road on Monday, August 15, 2016 for 18 days for small bridge replacement.
PARK COMMITTEE:
Mike Heher is present to give the monthly report.
ZONING DEPARTMENT:
Bob Monus is present to give monthly report. For the month of June 2016, total Valuation $670,165.00 and total fees collected of $4,975.00.
ROAD DEPARTMENT:
Tom Monus is present to give monthly report.
The Board of Trustees discuss replacing the street signs and traffic signs in the Township and in the Village.
POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Goodin is present to give monthly report.
PUBLIC COMMENT:
Joe Zidrilich – 5599 Youngstown Pittsburgh Rd – Is present to talk about the lighting district.
