The Poland Township Board of Trustees held a special meeting on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the Poland Township Government Center located at 3339 Dobbins Road, Poland, Ohio.
The purpose of the meeting was to handle unfinished business and go into Executive Session in order to discuss personnel matters. The news media had been properly notified.
Chairman Lidle called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. Administrator Scharville led everyone present in the pledge of allegiance. Roll call was taken and present were Chairman Lidle, Vice-Chairman Naples, and Trustee Ungaro.
Lidle moved to purchase a dump truck spreader and snow plow for the new 2013 International truck from the Gledhill Road Machinery Company at a price not to exceed $43,000.00, seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, Naples…motion carried.
Administrator Scharville introduced Resolution #13-09 – Nuisance Notice for the presence of overgrown vegetation, garbage, refuse, personal property, junk motor vehicle(s) and other debris on the following properties located in Poland Township:

Lidle moved to adopt Resolution #13-09 – Nuisance Notice (resolution on file). Ungaro seconded the Resolution and the Roll was called. Upon its adoption the vote resulted as follows: Lidle, yea; Ungaro, yea; Naples, yea.
Chairman Lidle moved to adjourn to executive session at 5:09 p.m. in order to discuss legal matters and consideration of the appointment, employment, dismissal, discipline, promotion, demotion, or compensation of one or more township employees, seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, Naples…motion carried. Present in Executive Session with the Trustees was Administrator Scharville.
Lidle moved to return to public session at 5:55 p.m., seconded by Naples. Voting yes – Lidle, Naples, Ungaro…motion carried.
Lidle moved to hire Tyler Stocker and Connor Schultheis as casual seasonal employees upon approval by Road Foreman, Tom Monus, seconded by Ungaro. Voting yes – Lidle, Ungaro, Naples…motion carried.
